Congratulations. I'm on the sidelines of such things, but I recognize quality preparation and authentic commitment to excellence when I see it. One trust building strategy was to set yourself up for success! Being prepared screams respect and you can't expect a group to trust you if you don't show respect. Bravo!! I hope you and your group soar!!

You guys rocked the house last week, and really brought TC50 back to life not only with the presentation, but the ambition of the product. I made sure that I was around to watch the presentation. Great post on the experiences and lessons learned too. Looking forward to seeing you guys advance ten more levels in the game and eventually win it.

Great job. You were one of my favorite companies at TC50 this year (we presented last year).

And it shows much more class to actually bring a customer on stage than to show a scanned signature page on a contract...

Great post from our marketing head @kralik. We all had a blast and are very humbled and honored with the positive response.

We're open to any ideas you might have.

How can we improve? What's missing?

Update - We're now using Amazon's CDN "CloudFront" and it totally rocks. The seamless integration with S3 is what sold us. The setup literally took about 30 minutes.

First of all, S3 is dog-slow, at least here in Europe. I can download podcasts from CDN's like Cachefly at around 2MBps, while the transfers from S3 tend to be just tens of KBps. I know of at least one service which caches files from S3 on the EC2 side because they load much faster from there.
Second thing missing from S3 is, of course, the edge connectivity, which is probably one of the biggest reasons for its slowness, but has even larger effect on the round trip time. The files will not only come at a higher bandwidth, but they also start loading faster.
